Anaesthetic Practitioner |KIMS Hospital, Maidstone

We are looking for a strong and motivated Anaesthetic Nurse or ODP to join perioperative team as a Theatre Practitioner.

This role is for 37.5 Hours per week, working 07:45 – 17:45 for 4 days between Monday and Saturday. Saturdays will be on average 1 per month.

Role Responsibilities

As an Anaesthetic Practitioner you will:

Support and assess patients prior to the surgery.
Support the anaesthetist and prepare any specialist equipment.
Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team including Scrub, Anaesthetics, and Recovery Practitioners.
Communicate effectively with other departments including Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
Maintain and enhance your own professional development.

Person Specification

Essential

Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
Have post registration experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner.
Be patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement.
Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.

Desirable

Experience working as a Scrub Practitioner.
Experience of planning, co-ordinating and running the daily workload in a theatre suite, including the supervision of staff.
