Assistant Accountant Apprentice - AAT Level 3
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Accountant to forge their career in the world of accounting. The role is to work as an Assistant Accountant in a practice - an Assistant Accountant supports the daily financial activities, which can include tasks such as data entry, preparing month-end management accounts, and assisting with year-end financial statements.
About our client:
Our client’s practice started over 15 years ago, and they wanted to run a practice that was slightly different from the traditional accountancy firms. They recognised the need for service’s that were tailored for small to medium sized businesses. So, they opened an office, precisely in the middle of Birmingham City Centre and decided to give this business their all, and here they are, 15+ years later, standing strong!
Their aim was to customise and tailor services to meet client’s individual needs, be that for those who require self-assessment returns, small businesses that are just starting out and needing bookkeeping advice/services or any other businesses in need of full taxation and accountancy services. They accommodate clients all over the UK to whom they offer a call out service, where they go out to see their clients in their premises or homes. In addition to this, they also offer the option for virtual/online calls.
Over the years, they have proudly welcomed clients ranging from hairdressers, film makers, restaurants, wholesalers, IT technicians, motor vehicle traders, Slimming World consultants, medical locums and many more.
The role:

Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm

What you will do in your working day:
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
This role is present across various industries. It spans from small organisations to medium sized entities.
The main purpose of this occupation is to assist both internal and external customers in managing their financial and accounting operations.
An Assistant Accountant is responsible for managing their own workload and time, reporting to a Senior Accountant.
