Our role as a company is to provide a home for vulnerable and complex young people who find themselves in residential care for a magnitude of reasons, often completely out of their control and/or comprehension. Job Purpose
- To provide 1-1 wellbeing sessions for young people where additional support is required, that can be targeted around identifying the cognitive, emotional and physical symptoms of their presentation and implementing coping strategies to support them.
Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks:
- To undertake psychological assessments, including questionnaires, self - report measures, rating scales.
- Direct and indirect observations.
- Semi structured interviews with young people and responsible adults.
- To assist in the preparation and delivery of assessment, intervention and care planning.
- To participate in risk assessments with senior staff or home managers.
- To maintain clinical notes and records to the agreed standards and timescales.
- To research literature and update psychological resources within the Residential Homes.
Leading:
- Prepare and provide staff training with the support of Head of Wellbeing and through supervisions with the clinical psychologist.
- To provide advice and consultation to staff under the guidance of the clinical psychologist.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Must hold a Psychology Degree
- Previous experience in a similar role or setting desirable
- Full UK driving Licence
