Our client is a Civil Engineering Contractor operating in Construction and Civil Engineering.
They are seeking to add an experienced Civils Construction Contracts Manager to their already established team. Responsible for providing the link between head office and the on-site management teams, offering solutions.
Day to Day:
- Management and delivery of large civils projects, mostly in the energy sector.
- Plan and organise construction schedules, manage site staff, and sub-contractors.
- Supervise and direct construction activities to meet project specifications and expectations.
- Report progress on the projects, update project reporting to a high standard.
- Manage programme, safety, relevant stakeholders, and other contractors.
- Assisting with the selection and requisition of labour, materials, and plant.
- Recording all cost variations and the conclusion of final accounts.
- Ensure high standard of health and safety.
- Confidently chair and minute project meetings.
Experience:
- Degree / qualification in Engineering or Construction Management
- 5+ years of experience managing civils construction projects.
- Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office and MS Project and AutoCAD.
- Strong programming and reporting skills.
- CSR Site Supervisor / Managers Card, SafePass, or SMSTS certificate.
- This role may involve travel and overnights stays to site locations.
