Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Contracts / Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of construction projects, achieving targets for cost, time, and quality. The role involves managing teams, overseeing supply chains, and ensuring defect-free handovers. A background in Quantity Surveying is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Collaborate with site management to ensure project milestones and deliverables.
- Create and manage project programs and schedules.
- Develop and manage procurement schedules, overseeing all procurement activities.
- Coordinate with teams, allocate resources effectively, and manage supply chain logistics.
- Attend client meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
- Prepare monthly valuations, progress reports, and oversee valuation agreements.
- Track and manage project costs.
- Lead project handovers and manage any defect resolution.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Site Managers throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Contracts / Project Manager or similar role in the construction sector.
- Proven experience in project delivery within commercial and/or public sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
- Strong skills in cost, time, and quality management.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experienced in interpreting contract documents and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, team management, and commercial awareness.
