Deputy Manager

Role: Deputy Manager



We are looking for a motivated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our leadership team in a dynamic domiciliary care service supporting individuals to live independently in their own homes. As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the service, working closely with the Registered Manager to lead, support, and develop a large team of dedicated care professionals.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Provide strong leadership to a team, promoting a positive and supportive working culture




  • Drive high standards by supporting with the recruitment, training, and performance development of care staff




  • Ensure care is delivered in line with individual care plans, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines




  • Take an active role in rota planning and ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times




  • Lead and manage staff performance, including conducting supervisions, appraisals, and managing disciplinary or capability issues




  • Support with compliance and quality monitoring in line with CQC requirements




  • Assist in audits, care reviews, risk assessments, and safeguarding investigations




  • Build strong relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders




  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as required, including attending meetings and liaising with regulatory bodies




  • Liaise effectively with local authorities, health and social care professionals, and other agencies to ensure coordinated and high-quality care delivery




  • Be part of the on-call rota and respond to emergencies or staff absences as needed





What We're Looking For:





  • Experience in a senior care role within domiciliary care (e.g., Senior Carer, Field Care Supervisor, Team Leader, etc.)




  • Preferably NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care 




  • Strong leadership and team management skills




  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures




  • Strong organisational and communication skills




  • Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends/on-call duties




  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
