What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Deputy Manager, your role will be integral to the smooth operation of the care home. You’ll be responsible for leading and motivating a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring they provide the highest quality of care to all residents. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team to deliver exceptional care and create special, person-centred experiences for residents, promoting independence, privacy, and dignity.
- Ensuring that all residents' care plans are followed and continually updated to meet their changing needs.
- Taking on the role of Home Manager in their absence, overseeing the day-to-day management of the home, including staffing, medication management, and emergencies.
- Assisting with the recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
- Maintaining strong relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
- Managing the operational aspects of the home, including budget management, quality assurance, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and excellence in care, ensuring that each resident’s individual needs are met.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with a passion for high-quality care and a desire to make a real difference. You should have:
- A valid NMC registration and at least two years of experience in a senior nursing role.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to inspire and guide a team to deliver excellent care.
- A comprehensive understanding of care standards, regulatory requirements, and the needs of elderly residents.
- A compassionate, patient-centred approach, ensuring dignity and respect in every aspect of care.
- Experience in creating and evaluating care plans and managing medications.
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and supportive environment for both residents and staff.
- A genuine passion for promoting independence, rehabilitation, and quality of life for residents.
