English Teacher – KS3–KS4 – September Start – Permanent
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative English department.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality English lessons across KS3–KS4
Planning, preparing, and assessing work to facilitate positive student outcomes
Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour
Supporting the wider school community and extracurricular activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (applications from ECTs are welcome)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
