Finance Business Partner - Home Based

Reporting directly to Director of Commercial Finance, the Finance Business Partner is the primary interaction point for the business for each department and acts as a conduit to other finance functions drawing in specialism where needed.

They will provide overall financial strategic direction, assurance and challenge to the business and have a high level of interaction with business Stakeholders to ensure appropriate engagement with financial targets. Ensuring Dimensions and, in particular, the business support functions achieves strong financial budget management in line with organisational expectations.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

  • Leveraging data and analytics to identify cost efficiencies and support the Leadership group to make sound and strategic financial decisions.
  • Strategic advice across Business support functions to handle local finance and work alongside Executive budget holders/decision makers, target setting, drive the creation of action plans for new initiatives to achieve targets, review the first submission of plan, budget, and forecast, communicate planning/forecasting timelines to Business, support respective business regions on Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting process, interpreting scenario modelling.
  • Support the budget holders to be accountable on progress of outcome/activities agreed from performance management reviews.
  • Challenge the strategic plan of the organisation (ambition, viability, alignment to business plan).

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • You will need to be qualified – ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience of working in various areas of finance and checking the work of others
  • Possess knowledge of accounting procedures and techniques
  • Experience of proactively developing partnerships with external customers
