Horton Housing
Horton Housing is a not-for-profit Housing Association that manages a wide range of different housing, training and support services across Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and North Yorkshire. We offer support to a variety of people, including those who are homeless or at risk, young people and refugees. We offer accommodation, skills and language support, and use a strength based approach to help the people we support achieve their goals in a manner which works for them.
The role
This is a permanent full time role, working 35 hours per week. The hours will be 08:00 – 15:00 and 15:00 – 22:00 working both weekdays and weekend therefore, flexibility is required.
The Group Living Services (GLS) provides short-term accommodation and support for young people aged between 16 and 18. We support young people leaving care and unaccompanied asylum seeking children in need of accommodation. This service support young people to develop their independent living skills. We support the young people with tenancy management, money management, education and training, drug and alcohol problems, mental health, and offending behaviour. We create a safe, supportive and empowering environment for young people within the Group Living Service enabling them to move on to independent long accommodation.
