IT Business Systems Manager - Home Based

The Business Systems Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the business system team whilst also providing maintenance, and incident resolution on several key business systems.

This role requires a proactive individual who can oversee system roadmaps, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that all incidents are handled efficiently and effectively.

The Business Systems Manager will also be responsible for managing a small team and supporting user forums, representing IT in system development discussions, and working with stakeholders to deliver critical systems.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

  • Provide line management, technical leadership and direction to the business systems team, including management of staff performance and development
  • Monitor and coordinate incidents across key business systems.
  • Lead the process of onboarding new and existing business systems into the formal IT support structure.
  • Maintain oversight of the roadmap activities for each assigned system, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Hold internal development teams and vendor providers accountable for the delivery of requirements within agreed timelines.
  • Support and facilitate user forums to gather ideas and feedback from the user base.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • Hold a degree (or demonstrable equivalent) in Business System(s) or related quantitative subject
  • Able to demonstrate success in leading teams and promoting collaborative working relationships and excellent performance.
  • Experience of line management of business systems or application teams
  • Possess excellent communications skills - able to bridge between technical and business teams and explain complex technical subjects in understandable terms
  • Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders/customers, and prioritise available resources appropriately
  • Knowledge of information technology support services, including deep understanding on business systems
