Job Opportunity: Junior Estimator

Location: Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-Time

Due to continued growth, a dynamic contracting company is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to support the Contracts Department with estimating, quality management, and project coordination across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on provided project information.


• Interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project costs.


• Utilise relevant software for take-offs.


• Schedule and lead tender review meetings.


• Maintain accurate records using an in-house system to log opportunities and track updates.


• Coordinate tender processes, including obtaining supplier quotes and ensuring timely returns.


• Collaborate with external designers to develop floor slab designs for tenders.


• Follow up on tender submissions and monitor project positions.


• Support document control, including submission of QA documentation.


• Log daily concrete testing results and issue to clients.


• General data entry and administrative tasks.
