Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining road safety and compliance, working with various types of vehicles and utilising your expertise to perform thorough inspections.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical issues, providing accurate assessments of vehicle condition.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and any recommendations for further work.
• Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing advice on necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Ensure the workshop environment is clean, organised, and safe for all staff and customers.
• Stay updated with the latest regulations and best practices in vehicle testing and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid MOT Tester certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday plus either every Saturday between 8am – 12pm or every other Saturday between 8am – 4pm.
