Pest Control and Lifelines Officer – The Role:
Cheltenham Borough Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Pest Control and the Lifeline services.
Working alongside and supporting the other team members within the Pest Control and Lifeline services, the role will provide an initial point of contact for customers and undertake all aspects of administration in relation to these services.
There may be an occasional requirement to work outside the core hours, after 17:00 or before 08:00.
Pest Control and Lifelines Officer – Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the initial point of contact for customers
- Giving customers advice about the services we provide
- Supporting the administrative function for both Pest Control and Lifeline service
- Deal with customer enquiries efficiently and effectively by all communication channels
- Use IT systems to manage and resolve enquiries and record information accurately
- Process payments
- Support the ongoing maintenance of the CBC and Pest People websites
- Managing customer appointments with officers
- Support the Senior Pest Control Officer and Team Leader in stock control and purchasing
Pest Control and Lifelines Officer – You:
- A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE at Grade C/4 or above, must include Maths and English
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Experience of undertaking an administrative role
- Customer focussed, demonstrates, a positive and pro-active attitude to customer care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to multitask
- Understanding of the importance of accurate record keeping
- Able to treat matters confidentially and with discretion.
- Outstanding ICT and keyboard skills and the ability to simultaneously use multiple Microsoft, Google and bespoke systems
- Ability to provide a positive input to the immediate team and the wider organisation
