Role Summary
HG are recruiting for experienced Porter to work various shift times with one of our clients across the Liverpool Region.
We are seeking porters with a caring nature, team player with a customer focused approach.
PAYE Pay rates
£11.44 - £19.06
Shift start times available
Full & Part-time available.
Early mornings or afternoon working patterns week/weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the collection and delivery of patients, furniture, medical gases, medical records, x-rays, pharmacy boxes, specimens, blood products, clinical and non-clinical waste, medical equipment, medical supplies, amongst other items, utilising appropriate methods of work as directed.
- Assist with the transfer of patients
- Respond to cardiac arrest calls in line with the sites policy & procedures.
- Participate as required, in regular team meetings, performance reviews, job chats, return to work discussions and co-operate with accident and/or other investigations.
- Collection and delivery of deceased patients to the mortuary using appropriate means of transport.
- Ensuring the safe storage and maintenance of appropriate stock, medical gases and supplies, allowing them to be available as and when required in designated areas.
- Franking of mail in line with postal service
- move patients by bed, wheelchairs, and trolleys,
- change medical gases,
- collect blood products, take specimens to the pathology lab, full training will be provided.

Requirements
- Minimum 6 months previous experience/knowledge in a customer service role.
- Demonstrate a customer / patient focused approach
- An awareness of Health and Safety
- Willing to undertake ongoing training and updates in relation to Mandatory Training
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Current DBS (criminal record check) required if you do not have one HG will assist you in obtaining one
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to changing demands at short notice
