Spider is advertising on behalf of a high-quality dog food manufacturing company for a Production Operative to join their production team in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

About the role:

As a Production Operative, you will be an integral part of the production team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production line. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 07.00 to 18.00.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely managing stock by bringing products in and out of fridges and freezers
  • Unpacking and preparing ingredients for production
  • Operating machinery, including bandsaws and grinders, to process various frozen products
  • Loading products onto conveyor belts and into mincing machines
  • Applying lids and packing finished products into tubs
  • Stacking and wrapping pallets for storage and despatch
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the production area

About You:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and take pride in your work and are eager to contribute to their mission. You should be a team player, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Previous experience in a food production environment is advantageous, but what matters most is your passion for ensuring that every product meets high standards and your ability to work efficiently under pressure.
