Project Surveyor – Lead Your Own Project | Busy Main Contractor

A busy and growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work is looking to appoint an experienced Project Surveyor to take full commercial lead on their own project.

With a reputation for quality delivery across sectors including commercial, education, mixed-use, and residential, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that’s winning repeat business and delivering schemes typically valued between £5m–£15m.

??? The Opportunity:

This is a permanent position, based between a modern head office in Brentwood and sites across London. You'll be commercially responsible for a standalone project from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the site team and reporting into a visiting Commercial Manager.

?? Your Role:

  Take full commercial ownership of a live project

  
  


• 
  

  Manage subcontract procurement, cost reporting, and contract administration

  
  


• 
  

  Handle valuations, variations, and final accounts

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget

  
  


• 
  

  Build relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

  
  

?? About You:

• 
  

  Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity/Project Surveyor role

  
  


• 
  

  Strong background with main contractors, ideally on £5m+ schemes

  
  


• 
  

  Good working knowledge of JCT contracts

  
  


• 
  

  Confident working independently and commercially leading a project

  
  


• 
  

  Based within commuting distance of Brentwood, with flexibility to travel into London
