Security Officer

Role Summary
HG are recruiting for experienced Security to work various shift times with one of our clients across the Manchester Region.

We are seeking security officers with a caring nature, capable of managing altered behaviours and de-escalating agitated individuals.

PAYE Pay rates

£11.44 - £19.06

Shift start times available

Full & Part-time available.

Early mornings or afternoon working patterns week/weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency response to incidents on all premises,
  • De-escalate incidents of disorder
  • Maintain accurate written records of security incidents.
  • Patrol of car parks and buildings & Issue notices or breach of contract (BOC) fines for any unauthorized parking
  • Liaise with the police as required, including the submission of statements and preservation of evidence.
  • Assist with the secure movement of cash
  • Patrol the sites as directed.
  • Respond to security systems, including alarms, and take necessary action.
  • Escort lone workers or vulnerable staff where there is an identified risk.
  • Operate a secure key register
  • Monitor the fire alarm system and investigate fire alarms
  • Carry out regular patrols of the Trust car parks
  • Answer all emergency telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide guidance and facilitate access to the CCTV system for police investigations.
  • Maintain CCTV logs in accordance with the data protection act 1998.

  • Carry out regular patrols of the site and car parks
  • Report incidents of unauthorized parking
  • Assist in regulating the movement of traffic and controlling parking on Trust property

Requirements

  • In date SIA Frontline guarding Licence (essential)
  • SIA CCTV Licence (desirable)
  • Minimum 1 years previous experience as an Operational security officer         in Healthcare or Private sectors.
  • Prevention & Management of violence and aggression (PMVA) including conflict resolution, control and restraint training.
  • Willing to undertake ongoing training and updates in relation to Mandatory Training
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Experience of working in complex or similar type of organisation
  • Current DBS (criminal record check) required if you do not have one HG will assist you in obtaining one
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
