Senior / Managing Quantity Surveyor

Lucrative senior commercial position - Construction

Tier one contractor operating within a secure framework to deliver several £multi-million schemes.



Role

This is a senior position responsible for a major chunk of a sizeable £600m project, commercial management of several high value (often £20m+), complex packages and corresponding subcontractor matters, in addition to having leadership responsibility of a team of four quantity surveyors.



This is a staff position and a hybrid role with two days a week working from home and three on site in Cumbria. A working away from home allowance is paid to cover living costs through the week which typically allows staff to take up long term rental agreements, enabling staff the option to enjoy the local areas and outdoor pursuits on weekends, but also to come and go without packing up and living from a suitcase. 



Security clearance will be required as part of the induction process once in employment. 



Experience Required

Applicants should come with significant experience of working with tier one contractors operating in the UK. Building or heavy civils experience will suit the scheme, as will knowledge of how to best commercially manage projects valued at £25m+, and ideally experience of managing multiple contracts of that size. 



The contracts are delivered within a tightly controlled and regulated environment and therefore, the ability to work within a process-oriented business is imperative. 



Remuneration

£80,000 to £85,000 basic salary plus generous living allowance, car allowance and other package benefits.
