Senior Production Supervisor

A well-established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in delivering efficient, high-quality operations in a chilled food processing environment. This role offers the chance to join a forward-thinking team supplying premium products to leading UK retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and implement daily production schedules in line with staffing, materials, and equipment availability


• Organise staffing plans to ensure production targets and efficiency levels are consistently met


• Manage labour costs by planning staff rotas, holiday cover, and appropriate skill deployment


• Oversee the availability and usage of packaging and component materials


• Investigate and address quality or process-related issues, including those arising from customer feedback or audits


• Ensure systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, Autocoding, and Sparc Systems are used effectively to support production


• Monitor raw material yields and packaging usage, maintaining strong stock rotation and control


• Complete and verify all production documentation, including quality and safety checks


• Enforce and maintain food safety and health & safety standards, conducting investigations as required

Essential:

• Fluent in spoken and written English


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment


• Level 3 Food Safety qualification


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable:

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure


• Excellent attention to detail


• Experience using MRP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or equivalent
