Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview:

• My client is a leading Highways main contractor seeking a Senior QS with a strong background in managing contracts


• They deliver vital services within the transportation and Built Environment. They specialise within a number of sectors including highways and civil engineering.


• The business offers expertise in a number of specialisms, from term highways maintenance, to civil engineering, surfacing, street lighting, winter maintenance and utilities infrastructure.

Role:

• Commercial supporting the Commercial Manager on highways framework


• Contract under NEC4 TSC Option A


• Knowledge of this Contract would be useful, contract/ NEC mechanisms need greater focus and introduction


• Understanding of the NEC clauses and exposure within self-delivery environments

Works include:

• Reactive and Planned Maintenance (high volume, low value works)


• Winter Maintenance


• Schemes/Capital Works


• Street Lighting (Reactive, planned and Capital Works)


• Annual Machine Surfacing Programme

Responsibilities:

• The key criteria is that the candidate will be strong on contractual process and performance and also be able to form strong client relationships


• Managing and owning the Forecasting and Month end reporting/CVR (spreadsheet based) working closely with the Operational Lead


• Proficient with site measurement and capturing value against a schedule of rates
