Senior Quantity Surveyor – Tier One Main Contractor

Location: South London

Project Value: Up to £45m (New Build Residential)

Salary: Up to £90,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Bonus

A leading Tier One Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a £45m new build residential project in South London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established SQS from a main contracting background to join a well-respected business with a strong pipeline of major projects across London and the South East.

The Role:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for the full commercial delivery of the project. This includes procurement, subcontract management, cost reporting, and driving profitability. You'll work closely with the site and commercial teams, with full autonomy to run the job.

Responsibilities:

  Lead the commercial delivery of a major residential project from pre-construction through to final account

  
  


• 
  

  Manage subcontract procurement and contract administration

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare and present CVRs, forecasts, and reports to senior leadership

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all financial targets are achieved and risk is managed effectively

  
  


• 
  

  Mentor junior commercial staff and ensure adherence to internal procedures

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor

  
  


• 
  

  Track record of working on new build projects, ideally residential schemes £30m+

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and cost reporting procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
