We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a re-cladding project in Crawley. This is a crucial role for a highly skilled individual with proven experience in managing large-scale external facade projects and adhering to fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the re-cladding project on a 7-story, occupied building.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with fire regulations and safety standards.
- Liaise with residents to minimize disruption and ensure smooth communication throughout the project.
- Take charge of site health and safety, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lead site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Manage sub-contractors and ensure high standards of work are maintained.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience managing re-cladding projects, particularly on large multi-story occupied buildings.
- In-depth knowledge of fire regulations and health and safety standards.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (required due to the occupied nature of the building).
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- First Aid certification.
- Black CSCS Card.
