Site Manager

Job Title: Site Manager 

Start Date: May 2025 

Location: Ashford 

Day Rate: £250 - £280 per day depending on experience 

Client: A Regional Contractor with an excellent reputation in the local region, who have a wide portfolio which consist of Education, Healthcare, Residnetial and Commercial builds 

Project: x2 new build RC Frame apartment blocks, complete internal fit out and associated landscaping 

I am looking for a number 1 Site Manager who can oversee the construction of x2 RC Frame apartment blocks who will be responsible for overseeing the project from conception through to completion. 

Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring compliance on site at all times to the company health and safety standards and processes


• Co-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme


• Manage material levels on site to ensure the minimum amount of stock but enough to ensure the site programme is met and all labour is efficiently employed.


• Undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections at the correct timings, and rectifying any defects so as not to incur additional cost, time delays to the programme, or reduction in the final quality.


• Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism.


• Overseeing Subcontractors and delivering tool box talks as well as weekly progress meetings 


• Liaising with the client 


• Reporting to a Visiting Contracts Manager 

Requirements :

• At least 5 years experience working as a number 1 Site Manager who can demonstrate a time when you have delivered a scheme from conception through to completion 


• SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid 


• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management would be advantageous 


• Working on a similar role in the past
