About the role
The home is a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to live fulfilling lives as part of their local community. You will be supporting three men and one woman, aged 40 to 60. Each person communicates in their own way, whether through words, body language, or facial expressions. Being present and engaged in their community is an important part of their lives.
Your role will involve supporting people in their day-to-day lives, helping them thrive and be present in their community. Whether it is a trip to the local garden centre, a visit to the pub, attending a disco, or simply shopping in town, you will play an essential part in enabling them to enjoy these experiences. One gentleman is excited to start college soon, and another enjoys swimming. As a Support Worker, you will help them navigate these interests, ensuring they have a structured, fulfilling routine.
They value their independence, and your support will help them achieve their goals. This might mean supporting with personal care, meal preparation, or household tasks, but it also means empowering them to take an active role in their lives. Whether it is preparing meals together, tidying their rooms, or shopping for groceries, you will encourage their participation.
