Position: Support Worker for Vulnerable Adults.
- £14 per hour
- 24 hours per week (days/times to be agreed - possibility of more hours for the right candidate)
Location: Erdington in various properties
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL CARE ROLE
Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered support to vulnerable adults in their daily lives.
- Assist individuals with advice on daily living activities such as accessing benefits, helping to find permanent accommodation, budgeting, developing life skills and general support.
- Foster a supportive and empowering environment to promote independence and social inclusion.
- Monitor and address the unique needs of each individual, promoting physical and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support services to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a support worker role or a related field.
- No more than 5 miles from the Erdington Area.
- You must be Word and Excel literate to update client records and document support sessions.
- Must have own car.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable adults.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to varying needs and work collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of local resources and services for vulnerable adults is an advantage.
