We’re offering a fully supported training pathway to become a key member of our Perioperative team. You’ll gain hands-on experience and expert knowledge in all areas of the patient journey: scrub, anaesthetics, and recovery—delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced, highly specialised setting.

This exciting role is ideal for a registered Nurse with post-registration experience who’s eager to develop advanced skills, work with cutting-edge technology, and become part of a close-knit, forward-thinking team.

Contracted hours: 40 per week, worked flexibly between Monday and Saturday.

Role Responsibilities include:

As Theatre Practitioner you will:

  • Work with a variety of orthopaedic surgeons as a scrub practitioner.
  • Assess, plan implement patient care and evaluate outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, Imaging Department to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
  • Ensure that patients’ comfort, dignity, and privacy are always maintained.
  • Ensure that your own practice and the practice of others is within an ethical and legal framework.

Who we're looking for:

Essential

  • Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
  • Have post registration experience working as a Nurse in a hospital environment.
  • Be patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement.
  • Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a Theatre environment.
  • Experience of planning, co-ordinating and running the daily workload of a ward, including the supervision of staff.
