I am working with a leading transport company who due to continued success are seeking for a Transport Manager to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.

About you…

• Previous experience of working within a transport company as a planner


• Previous supervisory/management experience

Duties…

• Communicate with drivers within a busy environment


• Manage/supervise staff


• Prioritise workload and assist routing and planning of vehicles to ensure all deliveries/collections meet customers' expectations.


• Monitor customer requests, allocating jobs and issuing instructions


• Keep up to date with transport issues and dealing with changes to the day's schedules


• Communicate fleet availability and issues to the whole team


• Ensure routes run on time


• Deal with drivers’ hours


• Respond to customers enquiries


• Other adhoc duties
