Vehicle Technician

Our client is currently looking for an additional Vehicle Technician to join the team. Their engineering team is integral to the success of the business. Working at their 4 bay vehicle maintenance unit, you will be part of a close team providing high-quality inspection, maintenance, electrical, diagnostic and repair services for a current fleet of 40+ single and double deck buses ensuring safe and reliable vehicles are available at all times.
Summary of key duties & responsibilities:
- To be part of a team providing MOT preparation, vehicle inspection, maintenance, diagnostic and repair services to a varied PSV fleet
- To maintain a clear understanding of vehicle inspection standards and compliance requirements
- To follow all procedures to control and monitor parts usage and stock control
- Roadside assistance
Essential qualifications/knowledge required:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or C&G equivalent or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (PSV preferred)
- At least three years experience working on heavy goods or PSV vehicles
- Fault diagnosis
- Full manual UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Irtec licence
- PCV driving licence (category D)

Working hours: 45 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday to be worked in four.
Pay rate: £22 per hour
