Warehouse Operative – Due to the company’s expansion, we are now expanding our warehouse team. If you are experienced in working in a warehouse and using a forklift we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Lowestoft, Suffolk on a full-time permanent basis.

About the role:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. You will assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring that the receipt, storage, and despatch of goods are executed flawlessly. In this role you will be required to work 5 days a week where your shifts will be from 7:30am to 5pm.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring all operations meet targets.
• Conduct thorough checks on incoming and outgoing items, reporting any damage or discrepancies.
• Utilise the forklift to move stock effectively, ensuring proper handling and safety standards.
• Manage stock through accurate booking, reporting on damaged items, and conducting regular stock checks.
• Oversee the preparation of consignments for despatch, ensuring all packages are secured for transport.
• Provide assistance in building vehicles and parts for delivery, including local deliveries and collections as needed.

About you:

You should be an experienced Warehouse Operative, who is used to working in a fast-paced warehouse.  Essential skills are strong organisation skills, keen eye for detail, proficiency in using IT system, as well as current forklift ticket with experience and knowledge of Health and Safety practises in a warehousing setting.  You will work well under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities with a customer-focused mindset. An enthusiastic, flexible approach as well as strong interpersonal skills are also vital for success in this role.
